Leandro e Leonardo were a popular Brazilian country music duo composed of brothers Luís José Costa (Leandro) and Emival Eterno Costa (Leonardo). They were born in the state of Goiás in Brazil.
The brothers began their music career in the 1980s and quickly became one of the most successful duos in Brazilian music history. Their unique blend of sertanejo music, a traditional Brazilian country music genre, with romantic ballads made them popular not only in Brazil but also in other Latin American countries.
Some of their most famous songs include "Pense em Mim," "Temporal de Amor," and "Não Aprendi Dizer Adeus." They released numerous albums and won several awards during their career.
Tragically, Leandro passed away in 1998 due to lung cancer, bringing an end to the duo. Despite this, their music continues to be celebrated in Brazil and they remain beloved figures in the country music scene.
